Ismael Jordi, Young singer born in Jerez de la Frontera, he quickly develops a prestigious international career as a tenor.

In 1998, he begins his studies at the Escuela Superior Reina Sofía with maestros like Alfredo Krauss, Suso Mariategui and Edelmiro Arnaltes. Later at the same institution, he follows the teachings of maestros Teresa Berganza and Manuel Cid, being finally awarded by Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain as the most preeminent alumnus.

At the present time he studies under Maestro Angelo Capobianco in Verona, Italy.

His debut starring role was Ernesto in Don Pasquale at the Villamarta Theatre in Jerez de la Frontera., performing later the same character in the Stadttheater of Bern, The opera theatre of Strasbourg and the great theatre of Córdoba.

Among his performances we find The Magic Flute, King Edipo and Cosi fan Tutte at the Royal Theater of Madrid, conducted by Jesús López Cobos.

He also presented The Barber of Seville with great international success in the theatre of Düssendorf, the Teatro Villamarta, the National Opera of Bordeaux and the Staatsoper of Berlin.

He has also sung Falstaff en Strasburg, Gianni Schicchi in Toulouse, Martha in Viena´s Volksoper which turned to be a yearly representation since 2004 and finally rendered a charming live recording by ORF, published in Germany and Austria.

Another success for him was La Traviata in the Opera of Marseille, the opera of Bordeaux, La Coruña, Palma of Mallorca, Jerez de la Frontera and the theatre Campoamor of Oviedo, together with Cristina Gallardo Domás, an opening representation edited by RTVE.

In 2004 he was awarded as best new singer of the year by the magazine "Opera Actual".

Recent appearances include Capuleti e Montecchi in Bilbao, Rigoletto and Eugenie Onieguin in the Teatro Villamarta of Jerez , Le chanteur de México in the Chatelet of París, produced by Emilio Sagi, Doña Francisquita in Toulouse and Lucia di Lammermoor in Amsterdam.

Upcoming performances are El caballero de la Rosa in Toulouse, La Traviata in Amsterdam , Rigoletto in the Theatre of Avignon, Romeo y Julieta in Jerez and La Generala in the Teatro de la Zarzuela of Madrid.
